Drawing inspiration from various cultures to showcase the deeply ingrained connections between humans and their beliefs. Through her depictions of creatures and deities, she pays homage to the ancient pagan traditions that have shaped the fabric of our existence. Her work also predominantly focuses on capturing the essence of her heritage and ancestry. Being of Scottish, German-Austrian, and Scandinavian descent, Hannah intricately weaves elements of her diverse background into her compositions. Hannah brings to life a world of cultural significance and emotive depth with each brush stroke, inviting viewers on a journey through time and heritage.
Furthermore, Hannah dedicates a large section of her practice to experimentation within her collections, exploring the abstract qualities of colour theory and using texture as a crucial tool to convey sensory experiences.Captivating the interplay between pigments and the forces of nature, pushing the boundaries of traditional artistic techniques. Taking inspiration from the diverse realms of science and the complexities of the natural world, as well as current issue and questions in Morden society.
